We're still working on productising (is that a word?) our beta zero config VPN service. We have now named the service VPNX (any feedback on the name would be interesting).

The end-point technology in particular is under development. The current end-point technology is a very small CF-based routing engine that creates an encrypted connection back into our data-centre. This allows the units to be very mobile and so can be deployed anywhere there is an Internet link - even behind existing Internet security equipment. Whole networks can then be set up behind the unit allowing secure data and media connectivity to any other units in the VPNX group. Example uses could be building maintenance systems, temporary control systems, mobile access back to secure networks and so on. We're considering 3G access capability - would that be of interest to you?
The boot partition in the units themselves is AES encrypted so it will not boot without a looong password.
We are hoping to start testing the service with 3 or 4 beta customers. If this sounds useful to you please don't hesitate to call us. This is a potential opportunity to 'bend' the service closer to your needs while it's still in development.
If you are interested then, yes we can throw the blue-highlighter pen in as well if you really want it.. just contact us.
