What we have achieved

Since our inception in 2002, L3n has been providing businesses of all sizes with engineering solutions and valued data network consulting services.
Our judgement and solutions are based on a combined 50 years of experience from our senior team and this is backed up by highly qualified and experienced supporting staff. Prior to forming L3n, our senior team were members of the company that formed and built the early UK and European Internet core backbone, bringing commercial Internet services to this country. They have served on various industry engineering bodies and forums such as RIPE Technical committees and the London Internet Exchange (LINX). Our consultants and engineers have undertaken major engineering projects such as :

• Multi-year rolling upgrade of communications infrastructure for a major UK cinema chain.
• Major rebuild of Cisco based I.T infrastructure for a global multi media company.
• Installation and configuration of resilient routing infrastructure for UK hosting company.
• Design consulting services to support the rollout of a UK wide VoIP and multimedia gateway service for the UK academic community.
• Product testing for a global telecommunications company to ratify new IP voice based products.
• Data Centre build and installation for B.T's emerging media operating arms.
• Network audit and penetration security tests and reports for a pre-eminent UK marketing company.
• Provision, installation and commissioning of a brand new voice, data and wireless communications infrastructure for a new local authority learning village. This involved working in conjunction with the contractor on a public private partnership scheme (PPI).
• Protocol migrations of operational networks within a carrier environment.
• Designing and providing bespoke Cisco and foundation network training to a large UK Internet Service Provider.
• Designing quality of service (QoS) based network services for major ISP networks.
• Designing and implementing commercial network connectivity services for consumer and business.

As well as projects such as those listed above L3n provides I.C.T services for a variety of organisations on both a retained and ad-hoc basis. Our ethos is simply to continue providing quality engineering services to a relatively small base of customers while growing at a manageable rate. We do not take on projects we cannot resource. We believe that we are well placed to understand business communication requirements for the 21st Century.
